Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Unveiled Thrilling New Warzone Map and Zombies Mode

Excitement is building as Call of Duty fans eagerly await the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in November. Adding to the anticipation, Activision has unveiled a thrilling new map set to join its popular battle-royale counterpart, Warzone 2.0. This expansive map, known as ‘Urzikstan,’ is set to make its debut in December as part of the season 1 content update.

Urzikstan, a sprawling metropolis, was originally featured in the reimagined 2019 Modern Warfare game. The map offers a dynamic gaming experience with 11 distinct points of interest interconnected by horizontal ziplines, providing players with a multitude of strategic options.

Set on the eastern border of the Black Sea, Urzikstan is described by Activision as the point where the Middle East meets Europe. Players can explore various locations within the map, including the Levin Resort, Popov Power, Orlov Military Base, Seaport District, Urzikstan Cargo, Olf Town, Low Town, Hadiqa Farms, Zaravan City, Zaravan Suburbs, and the Shahin Manor.

Shahin Manor, located away from the bustling city, features marble-tiled floors and a grand double staircase, making it an impressive close-quarters combat zone. Meanwhile, the cityscape is characterized by high-rise buildings and industrial areas, presenting challenges and opportunities for players.

Horizontal ziplines, a unique feature of Urzikstan, allow for rapid traversal across the map. Some ziplines are even connected to floating drones, adding an element of unpredictability to gameplay.

A notable addition to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is the introduction of drivable trains. Players can take control of these trains from the driver’s seat, with levers to manage speed and direction. However, enemy teams can intervene by climbing onto the rear end of the train and activating the handbrake, potentially leading to intense showdowns.

The Gulag, where players face off in one-on-one battles for a second chance at victory, has also seen updates. Now, it features three lanes for combat, and there’s a chance of being sent into a dark version. Equipped with night vision goggles and firearms that project visible lasers, this unique twist adds an extra layer of challenge.

In addition to the exciting Warzone map, Activision has unveiled a trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode. This time, the Zombies mode is set across an open-world map, marking a departure from the traditional round-based format. Players must team up with other squads online to combat relentless waves of the undead, including grotesque monsters that shoot laser beams from their eyes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to release on November 10, 2023, across various platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
